Don’t Look Back in Anger (or Regret)

Mistakes can be painful.
Inaction can be painful.
Bad Decisions can be painful.

However, they all share that same element, they are in the past. What’s done is done,  as they say.

Their value is in what they taught us. And this has been the way of our lives since we were babies taking our first steps. Stand up. Fall down. Adjust. Stand up again. Fall down again. Learn. Adjust. Stand up again. Walk again. Fall again. Learn again. Stand up again. And again, and again ………. Succeed.

I’ve never known a baby to give up on walking. To dwell on past falls and failures. They have not yet learned how to look back in defeat and regret, they are too consumed with moving forward.

The past is the past.

It’s a lesson learned.

It’s the University of Life. The fees can sometimes be very high.

So take the lessons, and waste not a single extra minute on what might have been.

You are not defeated until it is accepted. You have a choice.

Learn.

Advance.

Don’t look back, you’re not going that way.
